By Car
All of the surrounding areas are easily accessible by car but during the summers and fall, it may be hard to find parking. Each town has its own take on parking – some towns are completely free, some meter by the beach and others, like Asbury Park, will meter every possible area they can.
Taxis, Uber & Lyft are pretty prevalent however be aware that surge pricing can be pretty ruthless if you’re trying to get home from the bars when everyone else has the same idea.
Biking
Biking is by far the best way to get around the region. Just head down to Ocean Ave and you’ll be able to access all the nearby beaches in much less time than it takes to drive and park. Be careful to have a secure lock or your bike will disappear if you leave it unattended for even a short amount of time.
E-Scooter
Asbury Park has a public e-scooter share program and during the summer months, you’ll see the green LINK scooters scattered all over the place. If you see one, feel free to hop on and ride.
You’ll need to download the app and link up your credit card to unlock it but it’s a great way to get around town.
Just be sure to not leave the city perimeter or they will turn off. Also - they also turn off at 9PM to prevent drunk scooting so be sure to keep that in mind.
Walking
Walking along the beach is the best way to truly take in the beauty of the region. The beach is just a 5 block walk up Brinley Ave (make a left when leaving The Surf Village). When you reach the boardwalk make a left to go to Ocean Grove and Asbury Park or a right to go to Avon and Belmar.
-
For an immediate emergency please call 911 first and then us.
Our address is 506 Brinley Avenue Bradley Beach, NJ 07720 for any dispatchers.
We hope that you will never need this, but the closest hospital is only 1.6 miles away:
